David Ronka and Robb Geier will present a seminar at the CoSN conference entitled "We have a district data team....now what?" CoSN is the premier professional association for school district technology leaders. Their mission is to empower K-12 school district technology leaders to use technology strategically to improve teaching and learning; they provide the leadership, community and advocacy tools essential for the success of these leaders.

PCG-CRM's Julie Meltzer will be a speaker at the 2010 ASCD convention. Julie will team up with with Judith Irvin, Executive Director, National Literacy Project, to present "Engaging Students with Reading and Writing in Secondary Content." The theme of the 2010 convention is Critical Transformations: the need to advocate for powerful change in learning and teaching, demonstrate bold leadership efforts in professional practice, and serve as catalysts to better meet the complex needs of the whole child.

Julie Meltzer will hold two sessions at this conference. Julie's first presentation is entitled "A Systemic Approach to Improving Content Literacy: Who, What, Why, How." The topic of her second session is "Invest in Adolescent Literacy: Leave with an Action Plan for Your School." The MRA, affiliated with the International Reading Association (IRA), has selected "Literacy: Exploring the Possibilities" as the theme for their 41st annual conference.

"Taking the Lead on Improving Literacy and Learning at the Middle and High School Level: A hands-on action planning workshop for school and district leaders" is the topic of a session presented by Julie Meltzer, PCG-CRM's Senior Advisor for Research, Strategy, and Development; and Judith Irvin, Executive Director of the National Literacy Project. IRA selected "Reading in Many Languages" as the the theme for this year's convention, with session objectives supporting teacher preparation of literacy educators.
