Plan into an effective schoolwide literacy and learning
Action Plan that addresses:

School literacy teams will complete a schoolwide action
planning process using PCG's Recommendations and
Action Planning Template working with PCG literacy
consultants who lead the action planning with the school team.
The action planning process includes:
- Selecting specific action steps to implement each
recommendation
- Identifying the lead person who will coordinate the task
completion
- Establishing a target deadline
- Determining measures of success

appropriate literacy skills to meet the challenges of higher
education and the 21st century workplace. Our guided action
planning process is based on the Leadership Model for
Improving Adolescent Literacy (Irvin and Meltzer, 2007). We
help you decide how you will:
- Ensure ongoing classroom literacy development in all
content area classrooms
- Ensure there are appropriate intervention supports in
place for struggling readers and writers
- Make infrastructural improvements and decide how you
will allocate existing resources and find new resources to
support literacy improvement
