Data-Driven Decision Making Services
Public Consulting Group's Center for Resource Management (PCG-CRM) has a national reputation in data-driven decision
making, and has specific expertise in facilitating data use as a
core component of educational improvement initiatives such as
the Smaller Learning Communities grant program, the
Carnegie-funded Schools for a New Society, the NASSP Breaking
Ranks Model, and the Data Wise Model for School Improvement. We
believe that the use of data rather than the production of data
should drive data-driven decision making initiatives. To this
end, we have developed a set of products and services built upon
our data use framework that address the various decision support
needs of our clients, from our full-service evaluation services
to our capacity-building professional development services to
our data integration services. Regardless of the specific
situation, our services are all designed to focus our clients on
using data to make informed instructional, organizational, and
programmatic decisions that ultimately improve student outcomes.
Literacy & Learning Services
PCG-CRM offers school-based literacy services to address the
urgent need to improve literacy achievement. PCG-CRM's Dr. Julie
Meltzer developed the researched-based Schoolwide Program for
Improving Adolescent Literacy (SPIRAL) to introduce a highly
systemic, schoolwide professional development program that
builds school and teacher capacity to address the literacy needs
of all students. SPIRAL builds upon PCG-CRM's extensive
experience and expertise in systematic school reform and
adolescent literacy to help schools develop and sustain
schoolwide literacy structures and interventions for struggling
learners.
